Dr. Mariusz Postół is a distinguished software engineer, systems architect, and academic with extensive experience in designing and deploying highly distributed applications. His career encompasses over 100 innovative industrial projects, spanning aviation, heat engineering, power systems, and mining.
He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Process Control Engineering and Robotics from Lodz University of Technology, where he also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Information Technology. He actively engages with platforms such as ORCID to ensure transparency and accessibility in scholarly communication. His goal is to foster innovation and knowledge-sharing across academic and professional communities.
Dr. Postół is a prolific author with many publications, including book chapters, software releases, and technical presentations. His work is widely cited in areas such as Software Engineering, Cyber-Physical Systems, Object-Oriented Internet, and Reactive Interoperability.
He is known for pioneering solutions in industrial automation and IT integration. Among his notable contributions are:
- CommServer™ – a communication software package for optimizing data transfer.
- SmartFactory™ – a workflow management system.
- The “Process Observer” concept – a novel approach to process monitoring and control.
- CFIS - computer-based flight inspection system
For 14 years, Dr. Postół has been an active member of the OPC Foundation, working on projects related to the design, adoption, deployment, and maintenance of the OPC Unified Architecture. His expertise includes:
